Nous avons rencontré vendredi après-midi à la médiathèque Louise Labé, le poète David Dumortier. Nous avions étudié en classe plusieurs de ses livres dont "Medhi met du rouge à lèvres" et "Des oranges pour ma mère". nous avons également appris de nombreux poèmes tirés "Des poèmes au nez pointu" et "Des bateaux qui parlent". Nous avons pu lui poser plein de questions sur son métier d'écrivain et sur ses livres. Il nous a dit des textes, nous a fait des tours de magie et nous a appris à écrire des poèmes.

Le soir, certains d'entre nous ont pu assister à son spectacle intitulé 'Music-Hall poésies"

We loved your pictures and we thought that you spoke English beautifully.  It was lovely to see you and we are going to take some pictures of everyone in our class on Wednesday with Mrs Vincent and send them to you.  
 
Almost all schools in Wales and throughout the UK wear uniform - we start wearing ours at the age of 4, when we first join the nursery class. 
 
We think that you are very lucky to have no school on a Wednesday and we are very jealous! We go to school every day from Monday to Friday.  Our school day starts at 9am, although there is a free breakfast club from 8am that we can come to if our parents have to go to work.   We have a break from 11.20-11.40 and then we have lunch at 12.45pm.  Our afternoon session begins at 1.45pm.  We have a short whole-school assembly every afternoon and then we have our last lesson of the day which finishes at 3.30pm.
We also have an afterschool club every day until 4.30pm, but this is optional.  Our clubs are:
 
Monday - Netball
Tuesday - Hockey
Wednesday - Eco Club
Thursday - Rugby (Cricket in the summer term)
Friday - Football
 
We also have chess club, recorders, band practice and poety club during lunchtimes if we would like to go. Do you have any clubs at your school? What are your favourites? 
 
We have written a fact file about ourselves and Mrs Vincent is going to post them to you today, so you will hopefully have them soon.  We hope you like them!   Some of us have talked about what our favourite foods - we are going to have a French cafe day at the end of this term and we wondering what some of your favourite foods are?
 
We are busy practising for our Eisteddfod at the moment - this is a special day to celebrate St David, who is the patron saint of Wales.  It takes place on the 1st of March every year, and all the children in Wales dress up, sing Welsh songs and enter poetry, handwriting and music competitions. Some children wear traditional Welsh costumes and others, especially the boys, wear rugby shirts or something red.  We will send you some photographs and videos of us dressed up in our costumes!  We wear daffodils or leeks on our shirts because these are the flowers and vegetables that represent Wales.  You may notice us wearing these at the six nation rugby matches too - congratulations on winning your match against England on Saturday. We think the Wales v France match is going to be very exciting and some of will be watching at the Millennium Stadium! :)

Nous sommes allés visiter l'exposition interactive "La fabrique de la paix", vendredi dernier

Des musiciens du Rhinojazz sont venus à l'école ce matin ! Ils nous ont présenté des instruments et nous ont raconté en musique l'histoire du blues, du jazz et de la samba. Nous avons chanté et joué des percussions ensemble afin de préparer le spectacle auquel nous allons assister et participer, le 15 octobre prochain, en ouverture du Rhinojazz Festival !

Ce matin nous sommes allés sur l’ile des Embiez en bateau.

Nous avons visité le musée océanographique de M. Paul Ricard,

ensuite nous avons visité l’aquarium juste au-dessus de la boutique

de souvenirs et acheté  des souvenirs dans la boutique.

A midi nous avons pique-niqué dans les bois.

L’après-midi nous avons fait le tour de l’ile des Embiez,

nous avons aussi traversé la forêt des lutins.

Nous avons même vu la presque-ile du Gaou et le Cap Sicié.

Nous avons vu la tombe de Mr Paul Ricard et de son fils.

Les paysages étaient superbes et la mer transparente…
